• Manage, support, and advance the responsible conduct of research (RCR)

• Responsible for the CPUT NRF-rating process

• Responsible for submitting the research outputs to DHET annually- researchers are encouraged to submit their research outputs as they publish.

• Advice, connections, training workshops, writing retreats, the fostering of networks across disciplines, and the sharing of experiences of academics at various levels across the institution.

• Provide writing-related support to staff members, taking the form of funding for qualitative data analysis (training and assistance in using Atlas.ti), the funding of a limited number of Grammarly licenses and proofreading papers for publication and dissertation/theses.

• Responsible for the pre-and post-award functions of national grants - provide professional service in aid of processing, awarding, managing, and reporting on research grant funding.

• Production of the annual research report
