The CHEC Higher Education Leadership Development Framework
The aim of Higher Education Leadership Development is to improve practices and infrastructure by creating innovative approaches, structures or values which sustain and enhance the abilities of managers and decision makers to be more efficient and effective in the performance of their duties. The HE landscape is extraordinarily complex, and managers are confronted daily with a range of challenges and little time to consider the bestapproaches. It is only by developing an understanding of leadingedge thinking and being able to apply these to emerging problems that universities can fulfil their mandates to offer an effective and efficient academic model within their own context. Below is the CHEC framework for Higher Education Leadership Development (HELD) focusing on HE innovation through engagement and collaboration.
